Do women find men who wear jewellery attractive? It’s a question that’s subjective of course, but on the whole yes, women do find men who wear jewellery attractive. 

But don’t just take our word for it. We’re basing our bold claim on statistics from two recent surveys. These were carried out by Tinder and TikTok.

In the Tinder experiment a 38-year-old man from Crewe uploaded his profile for a week in which he was wearing jewellery. The following week he put up a photo of himself without any jewellery. The result was he got more interest from women when he was wearing the jewellery than without. The figures were as high as 133 matches compared to 77. 

Still taking the online world by storm, TikTok launched it is own survey looking at the question of whether women found men attractive when they wore jewellery. They surveyed 4000 people for the questionnaire and the results came back – 60 per cent women interviewed said they fancied men with jewellery.

TikTok went even further and split the results into cities. At 68 per cent, they showed that women in the north (Leeds) are more likely to go for a man wearing jewellery. Next was Wales, where 66 per cent would prefer a man wearing jewellery than not. Third placed were the Liverpudlians, 64 per cent of whom gave the thumbs up to male jewellery. Scottish and Irish women weren’t that far behind either, with 56 per cent of women – in both cases – said they liked a man with a bit of gold or silver sparkle.

So, why the love of bling and other forms of male jewellery? Social scientists say it’s mainly down to style and confidence. The fact a man is prepared to add flourish to his dress sense is attractive to women because it shows he cares how he is perceived. And secondly, a man wearing jewellery shows he is confident and not afraid to show off certain aspects of his character.

The answer to our original question then – Does Wearing Jewellery Make Men Sexy – has to be a resounding YES.
